im a cellphone dealer. right now, i am using a motorola V600 and i am actually looking to change my cellphone.

this is the secret, the more features a phone has, the more sick it gets and the more it is prone to breaking (technical problem)

just a summary:
motorola phones - the problem is always with the charging -- it does not charge, or sometimes when it's a camera and bluetooth at the same time, it shuts down on you.

nokia phones -- sometimes does not turn on. but nokia is quite ok, not reall the best for my taste.

samsung phones - hmm... as of now, can't think of any.

LG phones -- im surprised! i thought it was a cheap quality, and the phones are actually cheaper too... but so far, i've been on this job dealing with complaining customers for 10 months already -- i have never encountered a problem with an LG phone (knock on wood). i have customers whose LG phones are almost breaking in half, and it still works!

so if you want a durable phone, look for an LG phone that has less features in it. or if you want other brands, remember the rule -- the more features a phone has, the more problems.

with PDA's like sidekick, treos, blackberries etc. -- the internet browser is very very slow (nothing compared to a computer). it's not even worth it, because you wait like 10 minutes to open a link, and you use up a lot of your battery. also i don't know with the others, but customers with treos cannot sign up for insurance... warranty covers it, but not insurance... see what i mean?

as for service. it sucks when companies advertise their flaws.
t-mobile brags about nationwide coverage, when one of its popular flaw is it has a lot of dead spots. the only good thing about it is that it offers cheaper plans.
cingular advertises about fewest dropped calls -- yeah, right!
don't even get me started with nextel -- poor signal, poor customer service -- and based on experience, nextel phones are damaged and returned the most.
verizon is a great service when it comes to signal -- but a rip off! they offer bigger plans compared to the rest. so you may be able to save money on phones, but you have to pay a lot of bills. even when it comes to prepaid -- it's a rip off. $1 a day charge even if the phone is off?!! $1 per minute for roaming?!! it's too bad. because i really like the service (signal-wise) but cannot afford it.

Well unfortunately I'm not going to tell you about my cell phone its so stupid it was a waste of 100.00$ and it reboots alot for no reason and it has poor reception. Ok I think I can help you with this since I have had cell phones since I was 9 or 10. I know alot about cell phones. Phones to look for: look the phone up in the Internet and search search search, make sure the phone has a good reception because if you need your phone in a an emergency you might not have an signal, try looking for phones that have "Location" a GPS system built right in the phone so it can get a better service, battery life should be excellent, look for phones that have a built in VGA Camera so you don't get bored. Things to watch out for: Just because a phone has a camera built in it dosent mean it is a good phone, poor voice quality service, look out for service providers that may seem dumb ex., Virgin mobile. I hope i answered all your questions! have any more questions? Email me: nikehoops499@yahoo.ca

Motorola RAZR V3x. (It's an unlocked phone). Pros - 2 M camera, nice features, light, handy, bluetooth, comfortable. Cons - it's thicker than the original RAZR and variants, it's tri-band, not quad-band (missing 850). I use Cingular - they're "ok", but their coverage isn't as good as they claim to be on TV.. I have dropped calls all the time, and I'm in a big city (and it's not because of the unlocked phone either... it was happening before with my cingular bought phone too).
