My wife and I are going into counseling she has already met with her twice alone and I have been once alone too. We both go on Aug 7th. Could I be just in for the shock of my life. Wife has been looking at houses to rent?

my hubby and I tried the counseling thing and neither of us had bad news for the other, but I wasn't looking at houses, either. What I found strange was that the counselor seemed to think the relationship was doomed and asked me privately why I was still w/the guy? He also tended to focus all the discussion on my husband, so he felt ganged up on. So, before Aug 7, I hope you and your wife can maybe have a conversation about what you hope to accomplish and if you trust the counselor w/your marriage. btw, we made it through that whole ordeal, but we dropped the counselor. best of luck

Usaully when women are done with you they just say soo.We only ask you to go to counseling if we are trying to work things out.Maybe she is looking for you all to relocate to a different area,maybe she feels a new atmosphere will help,who knows what us women think at any given time.Hope thing turn out o.k. for you.Good luck God bless:O)

Sometimes they DO use marriage counselors to break the bad news. Just be prepared for it so it won't be the shock of your life.

I haven't heard of anyone doing this, but that could be what's going on in your case. However, I think the only respectable thing to do is break the bad news yourself, if that is what's happening.

u need to sit down and talkto her now. don't wait until 8/7 to find out if she wants a divorce, ask her why she is lloking for rentals. If she wants to geta divorce then why is she wasting your time and money with counseling

i guess its possible, or shes preparing for the worst incase the counseling doesnt help.. guess u'll find out for sure on the 7th..then u'll have to see where to go from there..
