It was a french novel (Le Fantome de Opera) by Gaston Leroux, who claimed his novel was not fictional (that there really was a Phantom) Its a forgotten mystery today. I It 1st came out a silent film in 1925. There were a bunch of versions: Then they made a 1949 version starring Claude Rains, A bloody horror film in 1955 starring Herbert Humphrey, a hungarian tv version (starring Jane Seymour as Christine); in the 70's, it became a rock and roll movie version called "The Phantom of Phoenix". In 1986, it became a musical in the Majestic Theater (NYC) starring Michael Crawford as the Phantom. 18 years later became a movie based on the musical.

Yeah this kid was sold to an abusive circus and was beeten and this girl help him excape but the scares left his face hedious so he hide in the opera writing the operas and music and then the pretty girl in the opra fell in love with this guy and phantom liked her and she thought he was nice and all but she didnt like him and the phantom tryed to kill the guy she liked and she protected him and she had to decide that guy to die or marry the phantom so she kiss the phhantom and he let them go u know after you explain it its kinda cheesy I need you to pic me as best answer or i cant answer any more

this opera started in UK. and after along run in the UK. it made its dedbue in the U.S. its seems like it never grows old here in the U.S.
