Because he *said* he cared about the environment. Too many people will trust what a politician says rather than researching his/her record just a tiny bit to see if it's true.

Oh, and neo-cons don't think global warming is real.

Lol, its called "evasion" where you have someone else call someone a "swift boat coward" even tho they were a decorated war hero with honor, and HE wasn't even coming to his "guard duty" to show up for "doctors appointments" lol. Then the so called "liberal" sorry, "CONSERVATIVE" PRESS takes it and runs and obfuscates the issue. Clouding the real issues, Fox and the other Faux news channels never report on real news again until after the election. Their too busy calling "a right, a wrong, and a wrong, a right" or as the bible says, "in the last days "a good thing will be called a bad, and a bad thing a good thing"" so there is precedent for it. Between Bush and Cheney there are 3 (three) document DWI's (DUI's) on record and yet no one says a word. Clinton smoked a joint (a single joint) and for 9 years NO ONE WAS ALLOWED TO FORGET! What happened? Again, the conservative media chooses what to impart to the public and it chose not to "punish" the bush/cheney ticket. There are dozens of these examples on Bush. However I won't go on, because you'll either read and believe or won't, and I'm NOT trying to change anyones opinion. I just don't care anymore. Good luck.

I didn't. Bush was hiding behind the bible and his fundamentalist Christian beliefs and thus appealled to the far Christian right (which is neither Christian, nor right) and most of the good ole boys and girls who make up that group ran out and voted for the moron just like their ministers told them to do.

do you know anything about Texas and it's industry? We have chemical plants, refineries, all the fun things that everyone needs to have, but does not want to actually have made. If we would get off our asses as a country and build more refineries and nuke power plants, we would all be better off.
