Everything is blamed on 9/11 but that happened on Bush's watch. I like Bush but he seems like a pretty ineffective coomander in chief, statesman and President. Shouldn't the leader of a world power be more effective and represent the people more?

And why is it that over 2,000 US serviceman have died and (over 5000 injured) in Iraq after the President said "major combat is over" and signalled "Mission Accomplished". What's so "compassionate conservative" about supporting the export of American jobs and Big Business all the time. I'm no liberal I'm just asking the questions.
Isn't it time for some accountability and change in Washington DC?

You need to realize that France, Russia and China are among those countries that place their value on the amount of money countries give them. That is why the UN is useless and countries like Iran and North Korea can play their games. If France was not such a cowardly country and really stood up for democracy they would support Bush. China profits from the trade with Iran as does Russia so they Will not upset the apple cart. What the US needs to do is stop being the dummy that takes care of the world and make other countries do something for the good of mankind. I am especially against France because of their lack of respect for our keeping them safe. They cannot handle themselves in their own country let alone deal with them elsewhere.

Ok, I'll tackle this one with a very brief answer. The Mission Accomplished banner was in place during Bush's speech aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln on May 2003. It was the Navy's idea to commemorate the ship and crew's return. Granted it was also a photo op for Bush, but in no way indicated that the work was done in Iraq. Major combat operation were done at the time. The heavy artillery, heavy tanks and large troop movements were completed at the time of Bush's speech.

I'll leave the rebuttal to those with BDS (Bush Derangement Syndrome).

accountability and change will NEVER happen in DC. it politics remember? step on everyone to get to the top and when you're there, do what others tell you to do. bush "god" fixation has caused some major polarization within the world. I believe he IS too stupid to realize his words carry much more weight than his presidency ever will. he likes to ramble incessantly not realizing he is causing more harm than good. ignorance is bliss ain't it? all that mission accomplished crap was propaganda pur and simple. people hated this war and by doing that he figured they would back off since the "war was over" for the most part. don't realize he thought far ahead enough and that by simply getting saddam, this wasn't going to stop.

who said he was a "uniter?" I wouldn't be surprised if you heard that on "the O'Rielly Factor" or Fox News. Propaganda tends to be rather one-sided.

Now, during the last election, with a 49-51% split, the U.S. voting public was clearly ripped in half.

However, now that the President's approval rating is hovering at a pathetic 30%(ish) you could say that his actions are uniting people against him.

Politicians are bullies; they get their fix from those who allow themselves to be intimidated by him or her. By saying politics is politics, we become complacent and lethargic like sheeps. Let's stop blaming the professional predators; let's look at our own inaction

your numbers are a bit off- over 18,000 injured, many gravely; soon 3000 killed. and killed in Iraq? Rummey said they are not ever counting.
