>>>I am not American but I am almost sure the US media never tells such things to the American citizen. The US media is not only biased to Israel, but it is also mostly a companion of Israel in its savage ongoing crimes against the Arab people (whom I am one of). One day, all these criminals will have to pay a price for all this.<<<

You don't know the U.S. media. While there is a strong Jewish influence in the U.S. media from an ownership standpoint, it is far from Jewish controlled. That just doesn't happen in a truly capitalist country. As soon as all the media outlets start sounding the same, they lose popularity, then money and power.

The U.S. media as a whole does not have a pro-Israel slant. They have an anti-U.S. slant. Though it's true we don't always get the truth, it's as far from the truth as anything to say we don't get news about all the bad things going on in the world. Stating that, "US media never tells such things to the American citizen." couldn't be farther from the truth.

The U.S. media loves a conspiracy, and they love drama, and they will go out of their way to create both whether it exists or not. Drama sells papers. The media is out to make a profit. That's capitalism. The effect is that we are overwhelmed with bad news everywhere we turn. Negativity about our government officials. Horror stories about alleged atrocities we may or may not have committed. Scandals without proof. Even bold faced manufacturing of evidence for the sake of a story.

The damage that the news media does in the U.S. to the overall morale and patriotism of the U.S. people is reprehensible.

Is it true that the media in the U.S. has an agenda, and that we don't always get whole truths? Ohhhh yeah, but don't even start to think we get anything reported to us in rosy glasses that are supposed to make things look better than they usually are. Quite the opposite.

If there's bad news or news that can damage anyone of power in our country, including Jews or the government, believe the U.S. media will be all over, maybe even creating it.

The question is who do you blame? Do you blame the Israelis for taking militant action against those who would do it great harm, or the Hezzbolahs for hiding amongst the civilian population and using them as shields?

The proportional number of dead is not the issue; its sad but its not the issue. In WWII far more Germans died (civilian wise) then Americans. Was America wrong? I dont' think it was. I don't think Israel is wrong for taking decisive action against a militia that would cause it great harm.

I suspect the Lebanese casualties are undercounted. Israel isn't fighting any Lebanese army. Lebanon has no army worth mentioning. The Jewish soldiers are fighting Arab civilians: that's why the casualty ratio is so lopsided.

Yes. But the better questions is will for all the civilian casualties and destruction of infrastructure will garner Israel the peace for there people there hoping for.

these are very sad and dangerous times. proportionality may not be the truest measure of the horror. both sides have some "growing up" to do. the most horrific feature of the middle east debacle is the (nuclear?) fallout yet to come. then you''ll see some "real statistics" on all sides.

Rocks, rockets, and machine guns vs. tanks, jets, and bombs that is bound to happen.

1 million homeless-that is sad. Too bad they were just caught between the two groups of ignorant militants trying to flex their muscles.
