What you need is the state to be involved because that med is for psychosis and you can do some serious harm to yourself and your daughter..as i have read your posts you definitely seem to be very unstable.
Plus, there could've been another med that was safer for breastfeeding but i'm sure you didn't care to ask a doctor or a lactation consultant right? You blindly gave in to whatever the doctors told you. Doctors don't know everything and most of them know nothing about breastfeeding. So yeah it's your fault you're giving your baby crap in a can

Wow, some major hostility here. I am guessing that someone has lectured you and given you lots of crap about not breastfeeding your baby. Breast is best, unless there are medical reasons for you not to do it. If you genuinely WANT to breastfeed (and it doesn't sound like it, but just in case), then maybe you can talk to your doctor about switching out your Klonopin for another medication that's safer to breastfeed with. If you stopped taking it during pregnancy, then it might be okay for you to stop taking it again. Either way, I think you should talk to someone you trust, even if it's not a professional, and vent. Having a baby is stressful enough without everyone and their mother offering unwanted advice about what you should and shouldn't be doing. Also, make sure you have someone to give you a break for a while at least once a week if you're staying at home. You'll be better for it, and your baby will have less anxiety about other people. Good luck! :)

I would definitely check with your OB/GYN or pediatrician. I believe that Klonopin does go into your breast milk. This would put your newborn at risk. I am on multiple meds for lupus and I bottle fed my daughter. She is 13 and fine. Baby formula has now come a long way to include many of the benefits of breast milk. Do not be pressured by people who insist that 'the breast is best'. Every situation is different. Keep your baby's health and maintaining your seizure control a priority.

But the Klonopin may also be playing with your mood. You are taking us way too personally. On Yahoo answers you are asking people to give their opinion - therefore you must take it like a adult. If people approach you on the street - it's none of their business and they do not know your medical situation.

If you are on meds for your health and was told not to breastfeed by the doctors, then listen to your doctors since they know what is best for you and your child.
There is nothing wrong with bottle feeding,

I don't know exactly, but I think Klonozapam (Klonopin) is excreted in breast milk. May not be good for your baby..Good Luck..Jb
