The best way to find other people to join your group is to find an existing group/chat room with people of like interests. Then you mention your group or put your group in your sig so people will come to it. To make the group interesting, it is up to you as moderator to keep the conversation flowing and keep the spammers out. Always keep up a conversation with something new about your topic. Do polls to get participant input. Most yahoo groups fade away because people stop posting and no one is around to keep new topics circulating.

Send then intresting mails. But, don't ever force them to join.
