There is a link of Canadian scientists [not American left haters mind you] and they go over many of the flaws and lies in Gore's movie "A Convienient Lie"...hehe. Anyway...these scientist take the top 5 lies of the movie and with footnotes and references debunk the heart of Gore's movie.
Look folks. I agree the climate is changing but the left is usint that change as a way to push their own diabolical agenda. Here is proof. Why hasnt a democrat gov totally embraced solar panels on houses in the building codes? How about the wind. Google it and see how many advances there are. How about those torpedo things submersed in the water and the currents spin those blades and create electricity. You dont even see them! You can daisychain a couple hundred and put them in the ocean. other countries have been pushing this but we dont. If our left leaning brethern dont embrace it than global climate change is not what they say it is.

The link YOU posted describes the Canadian "scientists" comments as follows: "Can you find a single fact in that release -- a single one -- that isn't false, misleading, or irrelevant? That isn't straight from the far-right propaganda machine? That hasn't been roundly debunked?"

You can read that comment for your self if you read past the end of the boxed Inhofe press release. Inhofe by the way is bald faced liar.

* Fact: Global warming is happening.
* Fact: Increasing CO2 is causing global warming.
* Fact: Humans are the primary cause of increasing CO2.
* Fact: Burning of fossil fuels is the primary source of CO2.
* Fact: The longer we wait to stop CO2 emmissions the worse global warming will get.

California has committed 3 billion dollars to implementing a million solar roofs. Many states are offering rebates and tax deductions for installation of solar panels. I personally received a check for $16,000 from the State of California as a rebate for solar panels that I installed. You can look for state sponsored solar incentive programs in the link below. That looks a lot like a "total embrace" to me.

Your idea for submerged turbine generators is a good one. People are working on it. That is one of several dozen good ideas for generating energy using renewable sources that many thousands of people are hard at work on. Hundreds of millions of dollars are being invested in alternative energy. It has become one of the hottest sectors for venture capitalists and will become the largest industry in the world within a few decades.

We "left leaning" environmentalists would be more accurately described as "reality leaning". By the way I am very curious just what you think our "diabolical agenda" is. Clean water, clean air, and no climate change? Sounds real diabolical to me.

The global-warming gang seems to be winning the battle, using faith over science. Science is being killed by consensus. Choking off of technology, and the death that will result from that, will be one of the bigger casualties of the enviro movement.
