Okay, I was making love last night and something odd happened.

Normally, I have no problem keeping myself [for lack of better word] "lubricated".

Twice during the session I wen't "dry".

Is this normal or should I see a doctor?

In a normal functioning girl, wetness is a natural and uncontrollable reaction to arousal, much as an erection is for a man – which is why people say “she creamed her panties” the same way people say “he got a stiffy.”

However, just like with a man, for a variety of reasons, a girl can be aroused, and not lubricate fully, or at all. Additionally, there are times during her monthly cycle, and even during intercourse, a girl’s lubrication will vary.

Just like with erectile dysfunction, there are also medical reasons for a lack of lubrication, so if you, or your girlfriend is aroused, but not producing a sufficient quantity of lubrication, or significantly less than she has previously, it is not a bad idea to see a doctor and find out why.

In any case, there are a variety of personal, or sexual lubricants available for purchase from a variety of places which will all help compensate for the lack of lubrication. Just make sure that you buy a lubricant that is intended for sexual and internal use, and never use petroleum jelly.

Well first off, are you on any medications? Drugs?
An Alchoholic? ...or if you don't want to admit that, were you drunk or have you been drinking alot lately?
Using a new brand of condoms? Sometimes different substances can cause reactions. Some woman are alergic to latex, but most report tenderness although different people react in diffrent ways.
Those are always potential causes.
And anything else you have done ar started doing that is out of the ordinary.
And of course I think the golden rule is three times, that's seperate occasions not three times in one session, and then yeah perhaps seeing a doctor should be your next recourse.

If it goes for long this can happen especially if you partner is taking "full strokes." Add some lube like KY liquid (not the vaseline-gel type stuff). Perfectly normal. Depending on the part of you cycle this will happen more or less often. During ovulation you should almost never have a problem.

You dont say how old you are, but its nothing to get alarmed about....it happens periodically through a womans life....my advice....just keep a bottle of lube by the bed for those "unexpected" times....no doctor is not necessary

it is not uncommon especially if you are having sex often - keep a little KY jelly by the bed and just put a little around the edges - don't use vaseline as it is a petroleum product and will coat the inside of your vagina and not let the natural juices come through
