Spurs are already in the UEFA cup whereas Newcastle are in the qualifying rounds, so from that angle it's a tad bizarre.... he will probably get more games at Newcastle though. I assume he's mates with Shay Given, and may be not as well acquainted with Robbie Keane.....

Its strange cause he comes from the same area as Keane in Dublin.
I think Newcastle has the highest rate of 1 night stands in England, maybe thats the reason.

Anybody who has ever had the misfortune to place the smallest piece of their body in that Godforsaken dump would reject the foul stench oozing from the sulphurous puss that seeps from the sores on those festering slags,,,,,if God was giving the world an enema the tube goes into northumberland park !

Crazy decision, im happy with who we've bought so far this closed season, but the whole situation with Duff has left a bitter taste in my mouth. Nedved coming would make me happy again!!

He wouldn`t get regular games too many other quality players fighting for places...which was what was happening to him at Chelsea...yes Spurs are the more successful club...but he has already done a stint at Chelsea and he knows what means to be part of a big club.....just like any footballer he wants to play games week in,week out and he`ll get that playing for the Magpies

he obviously wants to play for a team with a bit of passion .it would be much better playing in front of thousands of screaming Geordie's than boring boring spurs fans .Newcastle are a much bigger team than spurs with more passionate fans who get right behind their team

I don't know why he would choose either club, he won't win anything at either place, should have gone abroad, a class player like that needs to have class players around him.
