I'm almost completely vegetarian and have been since a year. I just read somewhere once that a woman became a vegetarian for the love of animals- that got me seriously thinking! I love animals and suddenly decided that I couldn't bear eating meat anymore- at least red meat. I eat some fish and occasionally some chicken or half a sausage, but it goes no further than that. I eat more fish for protein and 'cause it's good for the skin. I also need the protein for my adolescence... but someday, I'll only eat fish and nothing else! Maybe even no fish, who knows? I just know that once I don't have to keep gaining weight (I'm as thin as ever) and get the protein I currently need, I'll become a total vegetarian.

Word of advice- ignore those friends' remarks- they're no good! Maybe they're just bothered at your decision for certain reasons!

Thanks for reading! :)

I'm a vegetarian and I have two vegetarian sisters and we have all been veggie for around the same about of time (12 years)... ugh.. some people think you cannot eat without meat.. But I think you have way more options without meat.. It goes to show how closed minded people can be and it is a great way to weed out the unwanted so called 'friends'.

Meat is food; there's nothing wrong with it. However, it's certainly true that a healthy diet may contain little or no meat. So eat what you like and never mind what your friends say.
