the process isn't so mechanical.....if you've loved them and it hurts that he left you, you need to honor yourself and grieve the process; otherwise if you don't go through the emotions and the loss, you will feel it longer and you won't have full closure. you move through the emotions that you feel. on one can tell you how much or little emotion you should go through because no one knows what the relationship was like to you, only you. it's not a process of opening the water taps because you're supposed to.

No u shouldnt cry because if the person doesnt love you like you love them then you dont need to be in that relationship. Love is a 2-way street. Dont cry just move on because if its 4 u 2 b with that person then you will be with them. Always remember what God puts together no man can put asunder.

No, some people cry over everything and some are not big criers. I cry over TV commercials, but not when close relatives die. We're all different. I had an acquaintance who died in the WTC. I felt very bad of course, but we had not seen each other in years. One day I see the Music Man on TV. He played the lead in our high school play. I sobbed so hard I had to shut it off. Emotions can be delayed some times.

well......i am going through the same situation as you are, my husband left me after 5 years of marriage, and he is in the army and is deployed to go over to iraq. and yes i did cry, and still do sometimes. crying is part of us, we are only human, and it's hard to feel rejected when you loved someone so much, and have them just kick you on the side, crying will be good for you, because if you let it build up inside of you, you can explode at any moment, and without reason, so it is better that you get it out, and it makes you feel better! just hang in there sweeti, it will get better for you, at least that is what i tell myself.

I think you do need to cry because it releases all the tension you have in you. Cry as much as you need and then move on if you can.
If you do not need to cry, then maybe you are no that upset, or you are keeping everything inside -and that is not good for you.
All the best
