I respect him as an actor. In the real world he is the biggest control freak I have ever seen in my life.

Tom Cruise is still a great actor when he puts his formidable mind to good use and when he can stop acting crazy he can go back to his cool and charming ways. That's the Tom Cruise I used to love and care for, but this new Cruise is somebody entirely different.

When he was younger (Top Gun, Risky Business) he seemed like he was cool and had it together. He is now this really intense, very unbalanced, controlling person who needs to see a good doctor and get some meds. He is destroying single-handedly a religion that while it may seem crazy to some people (most religions seem that way to people outside and no, I'm not a Scientologist or wish to be one), but is a recognized religion to many. I can't really pinpoint where he seemed to go crazy, but I feel that Nicole Kidman did a good thing getting out of that and finding happiness elsewhere. Now if someone could save Katie Holmes (who is getting as crazy as Tom).

I never have thought much of him. Back when he was racing with Paul Newman in the late 1970's, early 1980s, they visited the shop where my husband worked at the time. They came to have their race cars checked. My husband's boss said that Paul Newman was a perfect gentleman. Tom Cruise, on the other hand, was a big baby and spoiled brat. He wanted everyone to stop what they were doing and work on his car. No one was impressed with him.

Good looking hollywood actor. His movies are in the top selling gross box office of all time.

His private life, is opposite. The cult he endorses is scary. His comments on camera about the cult are scarier. His relationship (he's not married yet) and baby making are calculated and scripted.

He came from a dysfunctional family. He has parlayed all this into what he is today.

I would still watch his movies as long as what he creates, produces or directs, is worth the entertainment value.

If he promotes his cult and their teachings in the next movies. I'm outta there!

Tom Cruise use your magic to put th fire out. I love that line. That's about all I know. I also know that he is in a religion (or wants us to think he is) that was founded by a man who was a student of Aleister Crowley----> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aleister_Crowley This guy was L. Ron Hubbards mentor. I kid you not.

I think he is a nut case and since the couch jumping incident--I have decided not to watch any more of Tom's movies. I hope he can afford lots of therapy for the kid.

I don't rate him as an actor much and he seems a bit creepy off screen but I must admit I was pleasantly surprised by his performance in Rainman, I thought he was fairly good in it, despite his scene stealing co- star!
