I had a hamster that would climb on top of its wheel and hold on to the top of the metal lid with his teeth well one day he fell and broke his teeth and died about a week later because he starved to death. I was just a kid when this happened so I had no clue as to why he died until I got older and realized what had happened. It is really kind of sad and kind of a funny visual if you think about it. If I where you I would talk to your parents and let them know that you feel like your hamster is suffering and see what they say. If it is because they feel like it would cost to much to put a hamster to sleep then see if you can find other solutions. Or find out how much it would cost and offer to pay for it. You might actually be able to call your local humane society and tell them the situation and they might do it for free and even come pick it up for you.

I'm sorry your hamster is paralyzed. I am also sorry that it's cage gets so nasty..... and you have to clean it out more often. No doubt.

Now I pose a question to you. If it were you that became paralyzed would you want to be killed?

Love it and care for it as you would if it were not paralyzed. It will pass into gods hands in it's and gods own time.

Sounds like your hampster had a seisure. It's suffering and if you don't get it to a vet it will probably die. Putting it to sleep is the best thing for it right now. Let your parents know how inhumain it is to make your hampster suffer make them choose a vet bill our Euthanization

Many adults don't think it is worth paying money to put a hamster to sleep.

Your parents need to see that the poor thing is suffering, plus, it can't be healthy to have all that discharge all over his cage.

It sounds like he may have a spinal injury. Take him to a vet to find out.

If he does, the best thing for him is to be euthanized.

Just 24 minutes ago you asked what kind of pet you should get and now you have one that appears sick or hurt. What's up with that?
