They say fences make good neighbors. So maybe they should put up fences between some countries.

Israel tried putting up a wall. It didn't work. The terrorists fired missiles over it.

Maybe the world should stop worrying about invisible lines between countries (and neighbours) and start just enjoying each other. Wouldn’t that be nice? Those fences are the reasons wars begin.

LOL! I think they have tried that, in a sense, however I agree with you. How wonderful if everyone were good to each other. We have what it takes for everyone to have plenty of everything but it all comes down to greed and is clearly evidence that only GOD can make this happen. Man will never bring on world peace, or stop hunger, let alone death, which is a whole different aspect, but man will never bring world peace because greed always wins out... Very sad. But, we always have hope through Jesus.. ♥

Actually, I think the chief reason we can't all get along is we're all too busy promoting ourselves and our business--too self-involved to notice others, or really meet them on equal terms. Plus, country-wise, I don't think there's a better place to live than America, but the rest of the world is too busy hating or envying or otheriwise hung up on our government and/or media presentation that they never stop to see how nice and hardworking most Americans are.
There is no better example of hard-working, honest, kind and sharing individuals than most of the people who live in the US, but the only ones our media shows the rest of the world are the nuts and the jerks and the flakes. How they gonna know who we really are if they base their whole concept of Americans off of radio, tv and movies?
And the sad truth is, it's much easier just to loathe us without trying to find out who we really are.
Back to my original observation.

When people refuse to listen to each other - conflict is the result! I wish we lived in a world that people got along - not just in the neighborhood but across the land!#@

You got that right. Everyone would be able to get along if there were no such things as "holding grudges". Then everyone would be friends.
