Thailand, a country with a high percent of exploited children, started a campaign against it recently. Historically spread of children exploitation in this country is related with US military interventions. Are Americans aware of the impact of their country on children rights there too?

Odd. The kiddie porn industry is centered in Europe. I hope you are not gullible enough to believe anything that comes out of the UN. Its a tool for the Europeans.

UNICEF is without credibility every since they used our 'feed the children' money to build a high-rise UN office in Ethiopia.

1 believing UNICEF's numbers is a bad place to start.
If you take into account what is exploitation over there and what it is in the US you can't compare the numbers.
2. Americans probably finance a large percentage of the degrading and illegal (here) sex trade but most of it is done overseas.
3. It's always wrong regarding children and morally wrong with adults but the history of the world suggests it will never end.

As you pointed out in your question, the exploitation of women and children is worldwide. I'm not sure if Americans know specifically about Thailand, but we're not so uninformed to think that we are not responsible for some of the problems. Are you looking to blame us specifically?

Considering how we prioritize things in the states, basically yes, but do nothing about it.
example: a woman is raped by her husband, he depletes their checking account without telling her, then she starts bouncing checks to pay for food, and his meds. Hides her mail. Rapes her a few more times, she ends up in jail for a $25 bogus check for 6 months, he does no time at all.
so you tell me...where the hell the priorities are set. You see the legal system makes no money off the rapist, loses money in fact. But the rape victim does something she doesnt know will land her in jail, well they make money off of her. a bogus $25 check will end up costing her almost $200 and jail time, up to six months.
These conservatives care nothing about women and children in this country.
