Go to the attached web page. You really need to learn this.
For instance 25 % of 80, you should be able to figure in your head. 25% is 1/4the of 100. So you want 1/4th of 80 which is 20.

a percentage means "out of a hundred"
so 20% of something is like 20/100 of (ie times) whatever...
so plug these into your calculator:
20/100 X 50
25/100 X 80
5/100 X 140
70/100 X 60
...
87/100 X 3278

You're not the only one to have been tripped-up in figuring percentages. I've looked at your responses...and sorry to say to these folks..."why make things so difficult??"
Okay...you ready???
Let's use the first problem. (The reason 'why' I'm sending you this response was because if I showed you this...it will stick)
Think of your percentages as 'money'. So, 20% of 50 = $0.20
times = (of) 50 or .20 x 50 = 10.
Now..."double-check" yourself! Make SURE your answer is right-on -the-money.
Your ANSWER (divided-by) 50 = 'what?' It equals "0.20, which equals 20%...make sense??? Got a calculator??? Good...
Let's do #4. 70% of 60 = (remember the money thing? a dollar would equal $1.00. So what's 70 cents? Right...0.70 or just .70.
Then, .70 times 60 = 42. Now take 42 and divide-it-by 60....
And you got???...

20% of 50... I am not going to do all the work for you but hope it helps you learn. I will do a few to see if you can get it
okay.. we all know 50/50 wouldbe 25 so what you would do is write 20
now that you have 20. ( with decimal) move the decimal to the left 2 times
it would be .20 then u times it by 50 which would be 10
so 20% of 50 would be 10
now the harder one.. 218% of 4,000 = it would be 2.18 (Remember to move the decimal 2 times) 2.18 x 4000=8720

let's say in 100% there are 2 zeros right? those are how much decimal places you will move.
let's say for 20% = 20 can be: 20.00 -- move 2 decimal places to the left, so that becomes 0.20 -- then multiply that by the base (50) now do that with the rest. as for the 218% -- 218.00 becomes 2.18 if you move the decimal place by 2.
im not gonna give you all the answers -- i want you to learn, practice makes perfect. if you say this is hard, i'd say you're just lazy. it's as simple as adding and subracting.
