Are you SURE it has spark? Sometimes plugs will fire out of the cylinder but not under compression. Shoot some ether in the engine to see for sure. If it will fire but not start with ether....you probably have a blown head gasket or bad timing belt. If it's out of time, it will not sound right. If the head gasket is blown, you'll need to do a compression test to confirm. Good luck. May also be drinking water. Check that as well.

If an engine has fuel, spark, air and is in proper mechanical time, it will start. If you KNOW that it has the proper fuel pressure and volume and you KNOW that it has spark and the air intake is not restricted, I would check the timing belt.
Just my opinion, I could be wrong.

Check the cam position sensor. That kind of thing happens all the time. Especially if it was going fine, u shut it iff, then it wouldn't start again.

Check the timing belt or chain. A broken or stretched timing belt or streched and slipping chain can cause this to happen.

have you done a compression test on it? that's an 8-year-old engine, might be getting tired...might have stuck valves, too...compression tester will set you back 40 bucks...
