First of all, rap is not even worthy of being classified as "music". There is NO "tune", NO actual singing, absolutely NOTHING pleasantly melodic about it! It's just a bunch of ghetto-dwellers with a criminal mentality, spouting out their venomous hatred & hostility and brainwashing a tasteless audience into believing that this is some kind of "art"! Futhermore, you cannot tell one "song" from another, because they ALL SOUND EXACTLY THE SAME!!!!

The state of rock music today is sadly deplorable. All the good stuff has already been DONE, mostly in the '70s. What we got these days is re-cycled re-hash. What they call "rock" now is no more than a pathetic immitation of the great innovators.

Even so, it STILL beats the hell out of rap, which should be outlawed and banned altogether. I see evidence every day of how it warps & corrupts those who buy into that mentality. Just the SOUND of it makes me want to VOMIT!

"i'm a rocker i'm roller"ac%dc, well rock...classic rock, till about the 80 when appeared glamor rock, that was all about the outfit and they care less about music...and the new rock...bleah...it's awful. They say that John Lennon was the first rapper :P, so rap...don't think so, i do think it has a great potential after all it is the next protest music, it fallows the hippies, but as someone here said...i don't think, there are better lyrics in rap, listen to some good rock and you'll hear poetry...

Rock and roll rules - especially classic rock!! Rap is crap - how can you listen to that foul-mouthed garbage? Hasn't your brain turned to mush yet from listening to it?

neither: HIP HOP. rap has been weak since the great tupac left the game, and rock has been fluffy wussy crap for a while now...too glossed over, too produced and clean sounding....they need to bring back that rock that actually ROCKS...like seeing nirvana live and feelings its all going down and you love that it will..bring it down kurt, bring it down mutha fucka! see what i mean? this energy has lacked in rock for a long time.

i perfer rock in rap sometimes its really hard to understand what there saying and i like to no the lyrics to a song!!!

I listen to both too but reral rap is closer to my heart because rappers write better lyrics...

i definatly HANDS DOWN prefer rock.

rap gets on my nerves. i cant really handle people just talking and ryming.. i mean.. i can do that... and im not a very talented person.

i think, as my opinon, that rock relates more to my life and thats why i like it. i think that people may enjoy listening to rap better becasue maybe it relates to their life more.. maybe 'livin' in da hood' or 'livin' da gansta life' you know? but thats just not me.
