I plan to become a teacher (secondary/high school) here in Toronto and I need some inspiration from those passionate teachers out there (who work in Canada/Ontario). So...

1. How many years have you been teaching?
2. Why are you completely satisfied w/ your job? ^__^ (please elaborate about the students, workplace, etc..)
3. Is your salary enough for you to travel (w/out worrying) every vacation time?
If you have anything more to add to inspire me, then please DO write it down.

**If these questions are not for you, then DO NOT bother answering just for the 2 points. Thank you.

The only thing I know is that teaching is actually a pretty stable profession in Canada as compared to the US. The turnover rate in the US is pretty high so there is always a need for new teachers. So based on that, we can probably assume that teachers in Canada are pretty content. For teachers who can not find a job in Canada and have to come to the US to teach, I can only assume that they are waiting for teaching openings to move back unless they set roots in the US.

Sorry, all Canadian teachers I know work in the USA because they say it it very difficult to get a teaching job there, but if you are lucky you make a good living there.
