I find that Spongebob Squarepants can be enjoyable if I have to sit through it.

The old Warner Brothers (Bugs Bunny, Sylvester, etc) cartoons are funny for adults as well as kids, as the writers intended.

Also, though not as satiric as the WB 'toons, you would probably enjoy classic disney cartoons, specifically Donald Duck episodes. The animation is loads better than what you see today.

Anything by Max Fleischer is fantastic. His Superman and Popeye cartoons used backgrounds that were a mixture of real life scenery and paintings. And kids will love the animation and details.

Most of the crap coming out today is pretty hard to tolerate, but I've found that kids will respond equally well to the classic cartoons.

I could watch Shrek and Shrek 2 over and over. Did you know that one of the creators of Shrek used to work for Disney and left on less-than-pleasant terms? So there are lots of subtle Disney slams in both movies. Kids won't get it, but parents can get a chuckle or two.

the simpsons , family guy , the flintstones ........

all of the aforementioned , actually have more of an adult theme with an animated format .

when the flintstones were first created , it ran during prime time ,
and at an astronomical cost of something in the neighborhood of $100, 000 per episode , which in todays economy , would probably be around a $ 1,000,000 ................

I'm a HUGE "Johnny Test" fan (I'm in my 40's!) and my nephew (10) loves it, too. Gotta think that might show it has wide appeal. Can't really think of another on regular broadcast television.

On cable (Nickelodeon in particular) there are a ton of them which everyone has probably mentionned already...
