I opened the hood and sprayed the engine with a can of WD-40 and it went away. I figure it only cost me 50 cents! What you think of that?

yeah wait till the engine blows and try to fix that with WD-40

Just don't know for lack of info. More info on the noise and location, more info on where you sprayed the WD. Sounds like a belt. Do a visual inspection on the belt. It may need to be replaced. Good luck.

A Bad Rapping Noise. Isn't that called rap music?

IF you have a bad rapping noise in your car, it's not from the engine, you need to change the radio station! LOL

My neighbor's car has a bad rapping sound coming out of it, every time his kid drives it.

Would WD-40 help it?

Be careful if it was a TUPAC kind of rapping it will come back, but
Lil EAZY rap it will not return.
