My boyfriend is obsessed with the game and sometimes plays it for 14-15 hours at a time. He also works full time so this leaves little time for anything else. Is this normal? Is anyone else having the same problem?

The game is a mmorpg, meaning massively multiplayer online role playing game. He is in a trance, I know , I've played Dark age of camelot since inception, but recently went cold turkey and quit.
You have to want to quit i am afraid. Just put food and water by the door, but dont get in front of the screen.

You really need to talk to him. I work full time and play world of warcraft. all at the same time I am married and have good relationship with my wife and i don't mean she lets me play all the time. I play when she is doing her womanly things but, when she isn't I am off the game. It s a system we've worked out and we are both happy I get to play my game and she dosen't have to yell at me or kill me.

1 year ago I had the same problem.
I was losing my boyfriend to a stupid game !!!

I talked to him but I didn't help, he tried to stop WoW but just couldn't quit. He missed his friends, the communication, the family feeling of his guild, ...

I was on 2 weeks break from my work and decided to try the game myself. I had to know why he couldn't stop it.

now 1 year later, I myself are addicted to WoW to. I found the reason why he couldn't stop as it's the same reason why I can't stop.

we are perfectly happy with each other and when we don't raid we try to have some fun outside or with friends.

I don't know why I tell you this, and I'm perfectly sure it don't help you... but I wanted to let ppl know it isn't so easy to stop the game.. even if you love your girlfriend and even if you are about to lose her.

talk to your boyfriend, you'll never know; but be hard !!

I know several people with "Game Addiction". That's why I won't let computer games like that in my house. It makes a lot of my nefews mad when they come here, but my brothers and sisters say it's the only time their kids interact with other people.

BAN THE GAMES!! They're ruining relationships and turning people into anti-socialists.

I don't think it should be banned, but I think it should have an ending, or time limit somehow.

I truly HATE that game!

Maybe you should find a better boyfriend, then.
