I have two at home, and the little one is such a cutie! she likes getting neck massage and likes to fall asleep on my lap. Does anybody's RES do the same thing??

Most turtles like having their necks and/or chins 'scritched' or rubbed. Falling asleep in your lap is a matter of a warm, safe place.

i have always told my kids to keep they're hands away - but maybe if we had worked with him from the start and handled him i would not be so afraid of taking one of them to the hospital without a finger. my oldest son and i are the only ones who feed him now it's to late he bite the fist thing that come near cause he thinks its feeding time
so watch out if your going to keep handleing him or her make sure it's a different time then feedings and don't that other people because she or he will bite

I have had several a few of them were mean but most were nice some of them loved being played with and liked having thier heads scratched

I have two red eared sliders and they both have attitude! Don't get the fingers too close to the mouth!
