It's just superstition, if it were true they'd be looking for a cure for athletes foot so people wouldn't die.

I have heard of a saying about itchy feet but it has nothing to do with dying .The one i have heard of means if you have itchy feet you will soon be walking on strange land well that's what mum has always said.
