alot of people like me don't rele like kira for somewhat reason...but not sure wat that reason is...i rele like athrun and dislike kira...but why i don't even no...for somewhat reason...he seems unreal and whimpy...and just not right...especially him wit flay...and all the other relationship stuff....i was hoping that someone could tell me the difference between kira and the other characters...also i remember that Mmu commented that athrun and kira are really different when Mmu first met athrun but he didn't state how and why????

Just from my observations in Gundam fourms, some people seemed to dislike Kira for the following reasons:
-He cried a lot
-He was easily influenced
-He wasn't emotionally strong
-The whole relationship he had with Fllay
-His personallty as a whole
Those reasons also set him apart from Athrun who appeared as a more of a stable character. Athrun also had that "coolness" which many fans tend to perfer over someone who broke down easily like Kira.

Kira is the Ultimate Coordinator but he acts childish. On the other hand, Athrun is mature. Well, the funny thing is, Athrun is younger than Kira, but he acts like Kira's older bro.
Well, as for the KiraxFlay relationship, the director wanted Kira to suffer from the death of Flay and he was thinking of what would be best to put Kira into that trauma of loss. He was thinking either of sex or a huge scar... of course, sex is the better option, although.....

I think its just because kira finds out that he has the power to beat anyone because he is "the first ultamate cordanator", and maybe thats why you think he is "in a class of his own" so to speak.
