It's not the attack, it's the motivation for the attack. Whether a white person attacks a black person, or a black attacks a white, if it is done in hatred for the victim's race, then it is an act of racism.

Also keep in mind, that racism need not take the form of either a physical or verbal attack. Racism can be very subtle, such as if a black store owner does not offer a special sale price item to a white customer, only offering it to black patrons. The white person may walk away without ever knowing he was a victim.

In the US, overt racism is so nearly universally reviled, that many racists keep their attitudes to themselves.

Hi Grumpy, this is a question that has bothered many people ! It's what's known as a "man bites dog" problem. Only in the last few years have African, Arabic, Native, and Oriental people been treated as equals. The "white man" has ruled for centuries, and our British forefathers instigated this. This reverse racism will linger for a few more years, and as the "coloured" person , a term I find offensive, gains stature in the business and professional communities, the business of racism will fade. The "Jesse Jackson's" and that ilk will no longer have a forum.

If a person of any race attacks another person due to the colour of his/her skin it is a racist attack - no question. It doesn't matter if it is black v white or vice versa.

Any form of racism is evil, and all cases should be treated in exactly the same way. It should be stamped off the face of the earth.

A racist is a racist no matter the color. The problem of racism is a problem strategically placed into societies in order to divide and conquer, I feel that humans no matter the color are not naturally born ignorant toward race but are coersed by those who use divide and conquer techniques in order to keep human v human fighting amongst one another while controlling them all from behind the scenes. Humans are played like chess pieces. I found this statement while researching illuminati type info and found it to be very interesting.

"We must realize that our party's most powerful weapon is racial tension. By propounding into the consciousness of the dark races that for centuries they have been oppressed by the whites, we can mould them to the program of the Communist Party. In America we will aim for subtle victory. While inflaming the Negro minority against the whites, we will endeavor to install in the whites a guilt complex for their exploitation of the Negroes. We will aid the Negroes to rise in prominence in every walk of life, in the professions and in the world of sports and entertainment. With this prestige, the Negro will be able to intermarry with the whites and begin a process which will deliver America to our cause."

I honestly do not know. I have heard this question alot. I used to work for a District Attorney and I can tell you that in my town, not one single case came through involving this. Maybe no one presses charges or it isn't brought to attention through the media. It may not even be a question of race, just one of misinformation. Maybe it is just a personal view on your part. I don't know. Sorry I can't help.

Race hate laws are a folly! As are religious hate laws. We should be able to reply upon the criminal justice system to fairly implement laws regardless of race and/or religion, or even motivation of the perpetrator. A violent assault is a violent assault and should be equally treated by the police and courts as such.

i think it is racist either way. i happen to be biracial [one of my parents is white and the other is black] and i do not understand this double sstandard either. like how it is considered racist for a white person to use the n word while many famous rappers and things say it all the time. i think it is unacceptable for anyone to be using the word. racist behaviour is racist behaviour no matter what and it should not be tolerated by ANYONE. black, white, asian, hispanic, or ANYONE

of course its racist for a black person to attack a white person.

problem is the system of equality doesn't work if your white you are considered to be the oppressor so therefore you are meant to swallow it.

Its political correctness gone mad !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All to often i have seen people speak and understand the rules perfectly when they are trying to get something

only to play the race or language card when they have done something wrong

Sorry but its my experience i have many friends black, white and Asian but there are those who just want to milk the system they say equality but mean superiority!!!!!!!!

It is racist to attack anyone of any race, colour or different background to you. Racism is stupid. We are all the same. Does it matter what colour we are.
