It's silly. Everyone wants to be different yet all wear the same freakin clothes.

Its about consumer and demand.
Yes, a wide number of people
purchase the over priced items.
Why would they buy them if they don't like them?
Its about choices. At least the people
who make the product are able to
say it is profitable. Yeh, it is truely
to bad we as the consumer don't
benefit or do we.
The rich, may have money,
yet if you believe your self worth is
of a high standard then your rich too.
A designer brand can't top that.

Because it makes economical sense. After wearing the clothes for a couple of years, you still can sell the used item. Heh.

Yes I am guilty and I admit it. But I don't buy all Designer stuff... I go to American Eagle, Hollister and Abercrombie and they are casual clothes but my accessories are normally designer things. As long as you aren't completely covered in it I think you would be safe.

First, not everyone has it.

To answer your question, designer items are trendy and really cute. People don't buy it for no reason.

Yes indeed! excellent point! I have often wondered this myself. People think I'm weird because I won't wear clothing with logos if I can help it (something that's getting harder and harder to do).

If I were like that, I would be able to answer that question.

But from what I understand, it's a security issue--being able to fit in.

I don't.
I'm not (a walking billboard).

And I don't understand people who do and who are.
