As above, the alkanes are inexpensive propellants. The nonoxynol-9 is a nonionic surfactant with antimicrobial properties. So, it probably helps the foaming and is a preservative.

Isobutane and propane are propellants to get it out of the can as a foam. As for nonoxynol-9, that is a spermicide used in a lot of condom brands, but I think it's also for lubrication.

Environmentally safe propellents. Starting using about 20 years ago instead of harmful flourocarbons.

well, did you let some out of the can so you could taste it? How do you know it's not cherry whipped topping? LOL
