No. That is what we work for right? Who is going to pamper you? No one. I say, if we work for our money, we can spend it the way we want to. Use your money now, save a little and live to the fullest. I've met people that save all of their money and never spend a dime to then die. Guess who is spending their money now? Someone else.

Yeah I do! Sometimes when you see something you really want & then you get it & you're like this isn't that great! I got a Coach wristlet the other day and once I got it home I realized that it really wasn't nessicary to have. I guess it's ok to pamper yourself once in a while but I always after think about the poor people who can never pamper themselves....

It sounds like you feel guilty about how you spent the money, not pampering yourself. If your bills are paid, there is food on the shelf, and you can get to and from work without financial strain, I don't see a problem with the occasional splurge.
If you run the risk of having your utilities shut off, then you have issues.

I do that all of the time, but I don't consider pedicures or manicures or hair cutting to be pampering, neither do I consider waxing, all those to me are just maintence things.
What I consider pampering is massages, facials, etc, spa treatments.

Why in the world should you not get something special out of your dollar for yourself every once in awhile ?? Everybody else does---now if you started doing this sort of thing with regularity and it caused certain problems with getting things done or paying your bills or things like that ---then you're damn straight you should feel guilty as hell---otherwise---enjoy an extra for yourself--you earned it didn't you ??

Only if I know I didn't deserve the pleasure I gave to myself. Forget opportunity cost and live for today, within reason. Economics classes never teach the stress of money!

Yes, sometimes. I haven't pampered myself in awhile, but in the past when I have, I felt guilty for spending the money.

You shouldn't feel guilty, because if the truth be known, these beauty places know how to part you and your money. They use the feel-good factor, you're surrounded by beautiful pictures, you're feeling comfortable and every one is all smiles.
It takes two to tango, you want it and they are there to supply it.
