The general consensus seems to be yes, you do get a discount....*(but I like ~ better....)

Most auto manufacturing companies offer "employee" discounts. General Motors offers from 5% on in demand models up to 20% on some that don't sell as well.
The discounts have dropped in recent years, back in the 1970's we could purchase autos at 5% over cost of manufacture.
