great Juventina........this is a farce.....they say italian soccer is corrupt?.....what is Fifa then?....they of all people are promoting anti-racism?.........how laughable....at least the clubs in italy paid the price(too bad for all the players both italian and internationals).....Fifa has always hit the italians hard and unjust with their suspensions for a long time....it's time this racism within Fifa comes to an end....and it starts with making ourselves heard and getting Blatter and Platini out of there.......and correcting the wrongs........we have every right in the world to be proud italians.......just as americans are proud.......Brazilians......Argentines......Mexicians....we all have the right to be proud of our heritage and nationality......Fifa must be stopped and rid of the racism within it!!!

i never thought of the but yeahh how is de rossi going to get four days for something that wasnt intentional. whereas zidanes was. even though he was provoke that is no right to hit anyone. and now he was cursing off the ref. well he should of getting more the 3 even if it doesnt matter to him since he retired but still just for the fact that thats what would of happened if someone else did it. FIFA need to redo their rules or something because this isnt working out.

Ya... it's totally unjust... this is one of FIFA's most biased decisions... True, Zidane is a wonderful player, but no player is above the rules of the game. To say FIFA were lenient towards Zidane would be an utter understatement... & what makes it worse is that they blame Materazzi for what happened & fine & suspend him... that totally sux!!! I'm off to sign the petition now...

The most irritating thing here is that Zidane kept his Golden Ball!!! If Fifa punished him too (not just Materazzi) it's because they considered his reaction exaggerated and unjustified -- Materazzi didn't say anything racist.
So, how can they reward a player who shows so little sportsmanship and resorts to violence for any stupid little thing he's told?

I'm so sick of everyone always talking that crap about the italians. I'm also sick of people trying to make it look like Zidane was the victim and that Materazzi was the vicious one. FIFA seriously is unjust.

I signed the petition last night!

Hi Nico !!

It's insane what FIFA did, I have the same petition on one of my questions and have many people supporting Materazzi!!
I support Materazzi all the way and I'm trying to get as many signatures as possible!
I'll sign it as many times as needed until Fifa gets the message..LOL

I TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU..I THINK FIFA NEEDS TO BE PUNISHED NOT MATERAZZI!!

WHAT THE F*UCK!!?? DID HE REALLY SAY THAT TO THE REF???

wow, saying that to an argentinian is definitely not a good thing...its definitely a bit worst than just "son of a bi*tch". i disliked zidane for the headbutt, but being an argentinian, i hate him even more now!!!

whos the racist now, zidane!?

im pissed cause the argentinian ref was one of the most fair of the entire world cup...and thats not cause im argentinian either...the guy just did a great job.

Zidane rules!!!
He is the best of the best...suspension is acceptable especially that he is retiring. Both his countries support him and that's all that matters!
oh and to answer one silly question i saw: he was rewarded the goledn ball because he is the BEST FOOTBALL player in the WORLD...we r talking skills baby and not emotions ;)
