A steam roller is very fast, but I do not recommend it. However if you call your local hospital and ask to speak to a registered dietician, they can get you a copy of the booklet put out by the American Diabetes folks which has all of the proper food exchanges and some recommended cooking methods. Going low carb is fast, but it is very bad for your body. There is a govt website www.smallsteps.gov that offers numerous little steps you can take. This is much easier than any drastic lifestyle or drastic dietary change which very few people are able to stick to for very long. Any diet that makes you feel like you are missing out on something is going to be difficult to stick to. Fast food, candy and sodas are the enemy, cut back on these slowly and you will see a difference. If you lose more than 1 1/2 lbs to 2 lbs a week, you are losing more than fat. In a nutshell, it is the total number of calories that makes the difference. If you eat more than you burn, you will store calories in the form of fat. If you cut the calories too quickly and too soon, you will slow down your metablosim. If you are going to lose body fat, you must cut your caloric intake somewhat and unfortunately, you must exercise. Walking briskly works wonders. Learning the correct method of figuring your caloric needs is crucial. A registered dietician can help you with this over the phone as well. Hope this helps

Starve yourself. That's the *easiest* way to become thin. However, it's also one of the *easiest* ways to slowly kill yourself and strip your body utterly of beauty and health.
The *best* way to lose weight is to eat healthily, NOT diet but have good, balanced every-day eating habits. Don't snack between meals, drink plenty of liquids (this will help you to lose weight and feel good as well, as you will not be lethargic or tired all the time), and take some multivitamins. At the same time, get some exercise. Go running or walking or swimming, get to the gym, play some sports with a friend. There are plenty of ways. :)

Take it off very slow, and you will stay thin. If you do a agressive diet then you will gain the weight back plus more. Also there is a psychological factor in crash diets. You loose the weight, get secure in yourself, and then start eating cause you are so secure. The best way is to reduce your food intake slowly. Never starve yourself. Get moderate exercise. Do exercise that you can do the for the rest of your life. Don't start exercising heavy and then quit. If you do things slowly with moderation the weight will come off and stay off.

well theres no easy way really.. but the most effective, but a lot of work.. is basically-
burn more calories then you take in.
if you go to some websites they'll show you how much calories you burn while running.. jogging.. walking.. playing different sports.. and so on..
basically if you can get to a gym.. try and start out with burning like 200 calories.. then 400 and 600.. then 800 until atleast 1000 calories if you can get up there.. then you will be lookin really good in no time.. you'll feel better and your body will be more toned up.
what i do is go to the gym and get on one of those eliptical machines- which is like running but easier on your joints (knees).. and it actually counts the distance (miles or km) and how many calories i burn.. i do about 400-600 calories every day (i've only been doin it for 2 weeks so far) its a lot of work but i enjoy it a lot.. i try and get on one of those machines for atleast 45 min.. although i've only been doin it for like 10 days i can already tell how much leaner my stomach looks.. not to mention my arms, and chest.. so yeah thats the best most healthiest way of losing weight (or becoming thin).

Eat several (5-6) small meals a day...your body will burn calories faster and build your metabolism in a short period of time.
(eat about every 2 hours)
The first 8-10 pounds you shed is water.
Meal suggestions:
1st: piece of fruit
2nd: string cheese, summer sausage, cottage cheese/yogurt
3rd: bowl of cereal
4th: soup/sandwich
5th: a good dinner-meat, potatoes/pasta/rice, veggie...your body needs carbs, protein and vitamins to stay healthy
6th: salad/raw veggies
Drink plenty of water
Drink milk or juice/water with every meal (no soda pop)
Stay away from munchies, fried & fatty foods.
Cardio exercise is great, but most people don't continue for an extended period, do "daily" simple exercise like walking/hiking...swimming and biking are low impact, playing games like basketball, baseball, volleyball will tone your body and you'll have fun doing it.

No substitute for a disciplined, but not excessive (<1 hour/day) exercise program with strength and aerobic conditioning. Add a balanced diet. Alcohol is a killer for diets.Skip alcohol for the first month while beginning and then blend it in once you have your groove.

does it truely matter? weight is just numbers, since when has numbers defined beauty? they dont. Marilyn Monroe was a size 14 and she was gorgeous. dont spend everyday counting calories. go to the mall or the movies.
