I think people who smoke weed are people just like everyone else. Yes I have been known to smoke weed. I have known people who smoke & have good jobs & raise thier kids right & are functioning members of society...the astonomer Carl Sagan smoked weed everyday for years. Lots of other famous people have & do too. Weed is nowhere near crack or heroin as far as I'm concerned.

I don't have a problem with smoking weed. Yes, it is possible to be a responsible person and raise a family, hold a job and smoke on occasion. It is the person that makes the pot smoking a bad thing. If it becomes a priority and other responsibilities and priorities falter, then it is a problem. Everyone is different. No, it is definitely not like Crack or Heroine!

You've got some good questions going, here.I think it's relatively common.I personally don't smoke weed on a regular basis, maybe 4 times a year, max.Now I work from home,am a full time student with a double major, have gpa's of 3.9 and 3.8 respectively, have a 9 year old who isn't in the best of health, pay my rent and bills on time and have no kind of criminal record.I think the key to smoking weed is responsibility. It's on par with drinking alcohol. As for crack and heroin versus weed, those are 2 entirely different things, because of just the sheer level of addictiveness. There is no such thing as a 'casual' heroin user.

In high school and college, it's very common, but once most people enter the work force it slacks off quite a bit. You've got random drug testing and other responsibilities, so it's not as if you can just sit around smoking blunts all the time. Personally, I smoked in high school and college, and will occasionally partake now (although I never buy it). I absolutely think one could lead a responsible life -- I know two very successful people balance career, family, etc., and smoke more often than "every now and then." Those who view it as crack or heroine have simply succumbed to propaganda. That's just silly.

It is so common now that I really don't care no more. I don't smoke weed. Yes, people who smoke weed is capable of being responsible of all those things(unless they smoke uncontrollably). No, crack and heroine is more serious then weed!

i don't think much of people who smoke any kind of drug.i do not smoke weed but my brother did smoke weed 3-5 times a month and it led to worse things. If you get addicted you cant live a normal life people start noticing chance in your attitude and you lose some friends. i don't view it the same as crack or heroine but it can lead to them if you abuse it.

I do not view it as crack or heroine, however I don't think you should smoke weed or hasish while having children. It affects your life in such a degree. If you don't know it, there is more smokers than you think. They're everywhere and in all societies.
There are no difference of rich and poor people, they all smoke.

Alcohol kills, wrecks families and makes a lot of money for the government.
Pot is grown, harvested & smoked - if the government could figure out a way of grading weed, then it could become a cash crop subject to the tax senario enjoyed by tobacco.
