She sends nasty text messages and makes up stories so that (my hubby and I will fight) I am not the type who will resort to cat fight but in some way or another I wish to get back at her. What's the best way?

You and your husband are giving her power by allowing her to text message you. If necessary, change phones/numbers so that she doesn't have access. You and hubby need to sit down and develop a game plan on how you're going to handle this woman. She is playing her little games to come between you two, and the two of you are enabling her. Take her power away and she can't hurt your relationship anymore.

I agree with everyone else. Change your numbers and make sure they are not listed.

This girl is acting out b/c she is hurt. I'd feel sorry for her, but as long as she is not violent and doesn't come over to your house ignore her. She is doing this to get attention from your husband. Once she moves on she will see how embarrassing and childish her actions were.

Change the phone number!!!!! Unless you're husband is getting a kick out of this, ask him to change the number and cut all ties from this woman. Tell him that it is putting a strain on your marriage. It's as simple as that.

Obviously YOUR husband enjoys this, or he would put a stop to it! The problem is HIM, not her! If HE would tell her to butt out, and then file harrassment charges on her, and get your phone number changed, then you could live your lives in peace. Obviously HE enjoys drama and doesn't care if it hurts YOU or not. He's a pig!

Just tell her straight to p**s off or you'll get the cops involved and if it doesn't work see if your hubby can sort things out. If neither of those work go straight to the cops!

Two wrongs don't make a right :) If your fighting about something she has said she is getting what she wants. Be the bigger person here and don't let you childish ways interfere with your marriage :)

tell the ***** to back off. He is yours now and if she continues to try to get into the middle of your marriage you will result to violence. And quite honestly, seeing as how I went through this before ignore the damn girl. You and your husband both know you love each other then why is the stupid comments bugging you.

Just ignore her. Women like her hate to be "dismissed" so I do it as much as possible to my hubby's ex, she is that way. I give her the "talk to the hand" hand, and generally ignore her... she's so pathetic that she's just not worth much else. Does your "ex-wife-in-law" try to be just like you since you've gotten with your hubby? Mine does, and it is such a laugh. (No one could EVER be me!) LOL, good luck w/ your loser, wish me luck w/ mine!

Seeking revenge only lowers you to her level. If your husband is as respectful and loving towards you as he should be, he is the one who should tell her to back off. If he doesn't, then it's him you should be dealing with, not her! He is the one who owes you something, not her. Don't stoop to her level, make your man stand up and be the kind of man he should be!

You need to let your husband deal with her. She is HIS past.

You don't need to dignify any of her reactions with a response.

I know it's hard to stay out of it but if you get involved then the ex is succeeding in her attempts to provoke you and your husband to fight.
