i had a still born son at 21 weeks of gestation on may 27 this year. we're eager to try again (this time, hopefully for a live baby, imagine that). one gyno told me to wait 3 period cycles, another told me we can start right away. what do u think? thanks

Bless your heart--I'm sorry for your loss.

Following a doc's advice is a good idea, but also take time to do some soul searching, and make sure 3 months is enough for you to grieve. What you have been through is devastating in ways you may not fully realize yet.

You will always have a sad place in your heart for your son (I had a miscarriage much earlier, I can't begin to imagine your pain). Make sure you are ready for what is potentially another emotional roller coaster--even when everything goes right!

Good luck.

Wait just a little bit longer - for those 3 cycles to get your body ready.
To loose a baby is soo difficult. It is a lot more common than many people realize. Give yourself plenty of time to mourn this precious baby. Your heart will never replace your son, but you can make room for another baby. Best wishes.

Wait three cycles since your body needs some time to heal.
