They pulled out of Lebanon around 2000 with the idea that Lebanon would take care of the problem. That didn't work either. My guess is they learned a different lesson from history than what you thought they should. But they are the ones getting hit by rockets intended to kill women and children. You don't get a bully to stop by coddling him. This is what they've learned from history.

Israel was always prevented from finishing the job by the UN. The status quo never changed. Thats why. Exterminate Hezbolla and the Sunnis, the Druze, and the Maronites can govern Lebanon as intended, without Syrian and Iranian interference.

I like the half-truth of your question. The full truth is the 1978 campaign was to drive the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) out. This attack was in response to PLO raids into northern Israel from their bases in southern Lebanon.

Well all of you democracy-loving, peace-supporting, law-abiding smart people, I would really like to see how you will react when China (the next super power) decides to put someone (Jews or others) in Texas!
Then we can have this conversation while your country is raped by an occupying force.
As for now, bla bla bla all you want...it will change nothing except make you look more ignorant than you really are (didn't think this was possible).

You're right.

This time I think that they will do it right, and eliminate the Islamic Fascists of Hezbollah.

If they do, it will give Lebanon a chance to live peacefully, first within itself, and then with its neighbors to the south and east.

Some people view violence as a way of life. They teach their children that another people must be destroyed, period, no negociation. In that situation, a negociated 'peace' will never replace victory as the impetus of actual durable peace.
