Of course! There are procedures in place in the OR that protect the drs and nurses from bloood borne pathogens. They operate on HIV positive and other folks with communicable diseases all the time.

hospitals don't have the right to refuse patients -- so yes, they should operate him. of course they would be extra careful. whether a patient is positive or not -- health care providers always take extra precaution so accidents are not reported that often.

Yes and they do with extra precautions like triple layered gloves etc....They are human too and deserve to have all that medical science and surgeons can do to help them survive!
