yeah. i think a very thick rags and washed them after use. i mean we don't have pads or tampons at that time.

all women should thank whoever invented the new ways now.

Rags, they would keep rags for their periods and wash them out to reuse them.

We used sanitary pads with no adhesive. They had long gauze tails that tucked into buckles on an elastic type garter belt.
