cani buy a dvd ripper to remove my copyright protection form the dvds and than i use my dvd/vcr combo player and record my now new removed copyright protection dvd to my vcr video cassate

Search for 1st DVD Ripper! and there will be new versions of it! email me for a CD key and i will hook you up!
And Also! DVD decrytper is pretty good too! but you have to compress it! to 4.7 GB

You can't change your DVD. You can rip the DVD via software and burn a new copy without the protection, which you can then copy to VHS (though I don't know why you would want to move a DVD movie to VHS). Google "rip DVD," or "DVD copy" or something of that nature, and you will find tons of sites offering help and software.
