This person would fly out Friday after work, spend three days touring a given area or participating in a particular event, then fly home on the fifth day to be at work on Wednesday. This person would be leaving from the New England/New York area, so the destination would have to be the contiguous United States. (No passport yet.) Previous travel experience includes a trip to Washington, DC and Montreal.

This person is young and active, enjoys sports (particularly basketball), loves the movies, loves to dance, loves the outdoors, and loves meeting new people. This person would like to plan this trip for November, so a warmish climate might be nice -- although not mandatory. Any ideas? I'd like to help my young friend plan a relaxing getaway.

The Pottery, Colonial Williamsburg Tours, (William & Mary is right in the heart of it - lots of College kids - nice people!) Yorktown Tours, local water cruz, loads of places to eat all types of foods, Concerts, (many are free) IMAX theatres, Dinner Theatres, Botanical Gardens, zoo's, beaches, baseball games, races, golf, putt-putt, bowling, clubs, museums, Parks, paddle boats, canoes, bike trails, camping, hiking, fishing, hunting, craft shows, horse back riding... need I go on? The area from Va. Beach to Williamsburg is considered Hampton Roads.
As for the temp. : It's been 72 degrees here in early Nov. (People still walking around in shorts.) But, bring a thick jacket/coat because we've had snow on the ground as well. As we like to say here: "If you don't like the weather, just wait 5 minutes. It'll change." :)

South Central L.A. will give you and your loved ones an experience unlike anywhere else and unforgetable. Especially exciting is late at night on just about any street corner or back alley. Take your own snacks as many places are not open after dark. Have a nice visit--and tell your friends.

Presque Isle State Park in Erie, PA is a beautiful place to vacation, and a three day trip is just perfect! It has beautiful sandy beaches, fishing, boating, biking / running paths, and plenty of other activities.
