most people go 2 chat rooms 2 have fun y cant we now ? it really sucks, me & my friend veronica were going 2 a chat room erday but her mom found out and told us we cant go 2 any chat rooms because there are grown ups who fake & pretend they are your age & if they get info they can meet u somewhere & u could be killed or mudered...... why cant we g2 chatrooms? tell me what u think exzactly.....

U just answered your own question. It is not safe if u do not understand that u could become prey to some weirdo on here and be hurt. I know u would think that ALL people would have respect for each other but that is not the case. U can pretend on here that u are a scientist and no one would know the difference and they can make u trust them and they can be totally trying to hurt you. U have to understand to only talk to your friends and u should be OK. Chat rooms are fun but leave them for fun and not to meet up with anyone and do not share any person info with strangers like your name and your address.

Well any place in the world is unsafe, for that instance. Things can go wrong anywhere.
Caution is always a good thing to have on your side.
However, knowing that you will go into internet chat rooms sooner or later irrespective of what ur mom says, you'd better make sure you tell mom about any guys you meet online if you plan to meet them for real.

i got in alot of trouble for having a myspace....my mom also doesnt allow me to have an email address...your mom just cares about you thats all...honestly i know id never meet any one or give any private info about my self but my mom sees it as well you dont need email ora myspace so your notgetting one...strict but i might feel the same way later in life woth my OWN kids

It depends how they are think it.But chat room just for you and your family and friends to commity social skills only.It better than to face ti face talking ti meet new friends.

You'r momis right nor will I allow my 2 daughters to go on thier.They can hunt you don't with very little info and yes rape and kill you so listen to you'r mom and be on here to answer goofy questions.It's fun and addicting.
