You can achieve your goals in studies by:
1) Having a set plan to follow each day. Allow yourself a ten minute break every 50 minutes. Devote enough time to each subject area for mastery.
2) Read all chapters assigned... don't skim. Take notes as you read. Review those notes on a regular basis to increase your retention.
3) Read AHEAD... most students never do that. Here's the advantage it gives you: When the teacher begins discussing the lessons you already read, it's not cold...it's familiar. Plus, you'll be in a better position to ask questions.
4) Spend less time on TV and video games... focus on what's important at this point in your life: Your education!

you should first set your Goals, Aims or Objectives
after that you should concentrate on making that happen by studying hard and making good results

firstly let us (the yahoo comm.) know what those goals are and make them s.m.a.r.t.e.r.
have a focus!
are we talking college or uni, high school or sunday school
make your goals, match your focus: for example if your trying to get into uni use goal setting to plan out your route to success!
