As far as I know, EVERYONE hates mimes. Even I do. But I don't think anyone's ever given a good reason for it. Could it be some instinctive revulsion, maybe passed down from our mime-hating caveman ancestors?

Too funny!!!

I think it has to do with the fact that they're such an easy target, Not only are they a stupid act, but if you insult them, they can't verbally attack you in return...and they give off that creepy clown-ish vibe...Oh and who do they think they're kidding with their gusts of wind and invisible boxes?

People tend to fear something that is different, and that fear turns into hate. It is a beautiful art form, much like sign language. It is a beautiful method of communication, without uttering a single word.

Some mimes have a tendency to be 'in your face' and most people do not like that. Also, there are a lot of street mimes out there, all trying to make a few bucks, and people treat them like bums and beggars.

They are passive aggressive for no good reason, and they act all "I know that you know that I can talk, but I'm not going to," and "Look at me, my imaginary universe is better than your real universe." Who wouldn't hate a mime? Isn't that what their for?

I don't hate mimes. I like them. The question you should be asking is why do YOU hate them? What have they ever done to you?

Are they? Have you talked to everyone about it, and they all say they do? I can't remember anyone I know commenting one way or the other on the subject.

it is probably because they never talk and if you ask them a question, they dont answer you by words. they answer the dumb way. plus, they play around too much. they trap you in an imaginary box and stuff. so, they get beat up and hated that way. its annoying.
