I don't think you should put your picture on the internet, because creepy people are looking for pictures of you to track you down and then....well, we all know what happens next.

I would ask my parents to do some research or tell me why they feel this way. I believe they are right from what I have seen on TV. I personally find no problem with good taste pictures being posted. I do know from being older that nothing goes away. Bad decision, things I didn't carry through to completion, things that happened to me that I just wanted to go away did go away.......for many years.......but they are always out there and believe me, they do come back with all the same impact they had when they first happened.
Bottom line is to ask yourself this question: Will this hurt me when I am 40 and have a family and established business career. What you post now will reappear!

No, I wouldn't put my pictures in a place where just about anyone could access it. I'm sure you're aware that there are lots of people who use such pictures for counterfeit identity cards, identity papers and so on.
Given the hardline crackdown measures taken by many countries these days, I don't think I'd want to be stopped by immigration just because my photo was found on someone's fake identity papers.
However, if I did let others see my pictures, I'd make sure the number of people who saw them are limited in number.

I do not put my picture anywhere on the net. If I want someone to see a pic of me, I e-mail it to them personally. I see no point in putting a pic up there for everyone to see.
