I was at work last night and this girl told me that it became illegal in the 70s to have sex with sheep. I don't think one should have sex any animal but i know that there are people that do. I just wanted to check /cross reference this. Is there really a law against it? Are the sheep's reproductive system like a human's? Did they ever cross breed? The tale was that in the 70s they past a law againt sex with sheep because they would cross breed and have to kill the sheep. I don't believe that it was true but while i'm doubting it it may be true. i need some FACTS not opinions on this subject so i can go back to work and let them know the factual information. just as i found out that catfish DON'T have periods.

In the state of Maine, there is a "blue book law" that prohibits anyone from performing sexual acts on sheep. I kid you not. But I'm not sure about from the 70's.
To answer your other question, the reproductive system of a sheep is fairly similiar to a humans.
It would be physically impossible for a sheep and a human to reproduce together due to genetics.

There were many state laws inacted from the 50's on.
Maybe that there was more awareness by the 70's, but different states did it at different times.
Maine, NJ and several others were delayed by some religions that involved animals, causing the legislature to be edited and more specific.
Sometimes the female can become ill and even die but reproduction between different species is rare and ususally limited to the same order or family of animal.
Like lion and tiger or dog and wolf or human and llama (Kidding).
I think you need to work more at work!!!

OK, well this question came up automatically on my homepage, and...and i just....felt...compeled to answer. people do infact shag animals it is called beastieality, and it is now illegal for all sorts of reasons which are just quite obvious e.g i think it really frightens the sh it out of the animals(not just sheep, any animal that would work if you know what i mean).but it is not illegal everywhere infact i believe a few people have actually married their animals sucha sa man marrying his horse, of course it was a fake marriage but nevertheless he has a relationship with his horse.if you watch a vigilant eye on channel 4 at about 1am you willl discover many interesting but disgusting facts!also did you not hear of that guys doiing a goat cos he was horny but he got arrested cos he did next to a train track and many tourists on a train saw his actions!hope that was helpful
