I've only got 3 lame ones memorized that I like to sing...even after years of being a children's librarian. My baby (my 2nd) will be here in October and I want to start listening and memorizing these songs so I don't tire of myself, ya know? I bought (for my old library) a video with Lauryn Hill singing Hush Little Baby and I've gotta find that..anyone know if they also made a CD and what the title is? ALSO, any good Christian songs that are melodic and easy to learn? Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and Mary Had a Little Lamb are killing me here. THANKS!!

this isnt really a lullaby but when he/she gets older it would be cute
"PIZZA PICKLE PUMPERNICKLE MY LITTLE GUY/GIRL DESERVES A TICKLE ONE FOR THE NOSE ONE FOR THE TOES AND ONE FOR THE TUMMY WHERE THE GOOD FOOD GOES" OR THERE IS "ACCA-BACCA-SOAD CRACKER ACCA BACCA BOO ACCA BACCA SODA CRACKER UP GOES YOU ACCA BACCA SODA CRACKER I LOVE YOU"there are also actions to go with this song...hold child above head lift them up by there his and sway them back and forth and when the song goes boo big them down and say boo and they but them back up and sway again them put them up higher with "up goes you" then for the lst part bring them down and huge and kiss them with "i love you"
i know these arent lullabys but they will be cute for them when they get older

One of my favorites is by an artist name Jane Olivor, she did a song years ago called "Weeping Willows Cat Tails" Also Carly Simon has some lullaby es. She did one back in the 60s with her sisters based on the children's story Wynken Blynken and Nod that was great. You might look for it on line.

When I run out of sons to sing, I just sing to my baby like if I was talking to him... Babies just like to hear your voice and feel wanted... they cant understand what you are saying yet...

he also likes songs from the radio... regular songs

Babies like any songs that you will sing. The songs dont have to be nursery rhymes at all. Sing songs you like.

Can you create one that will be special just for your baby? Perhaps it can have your baby's name in it... You can make up words to a familiar tune that sounds soothing. In our family we make up songs all the time. It's fun!
