I always do my bedroom first. That way at the end of the day there is at least one place I can go that is clutter free.

I would focus on one room at a time. Trying to do everything at once will create a lot of mess and clutter. Focus on the main areas first i.e. in your bedroom, just set up the bed first. I would set up the living room and then the kitchen and bathroom. Everything else can be done later. Since this is a new house, you'll probably have a party soon so take care of those common areas...just shut your bedroom door until you are completely finished with it.

I've moved 42 times (no, I'm not in the military), and I have a strict routine I follow each time that starts with collecting ALL the boxes, packing materials, labels and tape that I need, and ends with cleaning the empty apt. or house.
You start with the things that are seldom used...crystal, decorative items...and end with the furnishings. The last day you should have packed all your clothes for shipment, and be living as if you were in a hotel, literally out of a suitcase.
It doesn't take me long to do it, but it's backbreaking!

Not really.
But what I do to get the job done faster is hire some friends of my uncle who are strong and quick to help me move. I give each of them 5-10 bucks and lunch from the fast-food restaurant they prefer.
We can move the whole house and place everything neatly in just one day.

I do...but my sister and her hubby, they do not! I had someone over to help us move. My sis was 8 mnoths prego so she couldn't help. My friend had to leave after a few hours, so I figured that if we got all the heavy stiff out of the way. Buuuuuut, they didn't have everything packed, so we could only move the small stuff. It was really lame. After they finally finished packing, my bro and I had to move all the furiture ourselves! We didn't get done until about 2am...I was liviad!!

Nope. No matter how minimilitic you my be it amazing how much you can accumulate each time you move. Its never orderly unless you employ the removal company to pack for you and incur excessive costs

When moving out of a new place, there has to be some type of order. Get friends and family to help you and put everything into different labeled boxex/containers. Have some type of labeling system- like separate toys, clothes, movies, etc. This will make it easier.

yes,i would pack everything, but the stuff i really need,2 weeks before the move date.if i was loading my own truck,i would load most of the boxes first then the bigger & heavier items next,& so on.i also double check the house to make sure you leave nothing behind.

yes. But you need to be a little bit more specific. Do you mean packing? do you mean scheduling utilities to be turned on? There are so many things to do when moving..
