Maternal Great Grandfather was Prussian (now Germany)
Paternal Great Grandfather was Irish
To their great displeasure, I don't like Beer or Whisky.

Hmmm... although the Irish and the scots fought temporary territorial wars, they actually shared a common enemy- England. This made them more likely to be allies. And, as far as I know, Russia has never gone to war with either Ireland or Scotland. Interesting theory though.
